Chris Southworth grew up in Kentucky, hunting, fishing, and playing baseball. Chris started working as
soon as he realized that people would pay him to mow their lawn. At age 13 he started mowing lawns in
the neighborhood with a lawn mower gifted by his Grandfather. By age 16 he had saved up his money to
buy his first truck and commercial lawn mower. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in
2005, Chris sold his lawn care business, packed up, and moved to North Carolina to begin his
construction career. He started as an operator, constructing athletic fields in the Mid-Atlantic. His first
project was building the USA Baseball National Training Facility in Cary, NC.
In 2012, Chris met his wife Annie in Raleigh, NC while she was in town visiting, as he says, “she moved once she met me”, but her story is a bit different. Married in 2015, then moved to Houston, TX to help establish the company he had been working for in NC, Ruppert Landscape. In 2018, they moved to Shreveport and he started at Boggs & Poole. Since moving to Shreveport he has involved himself with any networking opportunity he can. When Chris is not working you can find him fishing, hunting, kayaking, watching a sporting event or at a concert. If he is not doing one of those activities he is enjoying time with his wife and their dog Foster and probably trying to find the next best brewery or restaurant.
If you could live anywhere in the world and have no expenses where would you live? Probably on the beach somewhere, maybe Costa Rica or somewhere even better that I don’t even know about.
Where would you go if you had a time machine? Anywhere, as long as it was in the Delorean with Marty and Doc.
If there was a movie made about your life, who would you want your actor to be? Leonardo DiCaprio
